Este procedimiento está enfocado principalmente hacia las mujeres que se realizaron una mastectomía o alguna intervención quirúrgica. Los pigmentos que se trazan en la primera capa de la piel permiten recuperar la textura y el color natural de la areola y el pezón.
Una vez los pigmentos y el diseño sean los seleccionados adecuadamente para iniciar el tratamiento, se aplica una base de componentes inorgánicos muy similar a los colores de la areola del otro pecho. Sin embargo, en aquellos casos en los que se micropigmenta ambas mamas, se elige un color acorde al tono de piel de la mujer, dando una apariencia mucho más natural.
Este proceso puede tardar entre 2 horas y media o 3, es bastante sencillo y eficaz a la hora de recuperar la autoestima y seguridad en las relaciones interpersonales y de las mujeres que han superado el cáncer de mama o se han realizado procedimientos estéticos.
Es recomendable que haya transcurrido más de 12 meses de cualquier intervención quirúrgica, y en caso de mastectomía se pide un mínimo de 6 meses por aumento o reducción de mamas.
